BJV ensures that the voice of young people is always at the heart of our work and we provide young people with opportunities to have their voices heard. Young people are at the forefront of our policy, activities and campaigns. We bring young people together to agree on issues of common concern and encourage them to bring about change through taking collective action. Our coalition’s strength is based on the diversity of organisations involved, whether as members, supporters or distinct networks.
BJV and ÖJV both aim to
Ø represent and support the interests of youth organisations;
Ø act on issues that impact young people;
Ø represent youth interests in various national external bodies (e.g. )
Ø provide a voice for young people;
Ø promote equality for young people;
Ø help young people be more involved in decisions that affect their lives;
Ø advance young people’s participation in society and civic life;
Ø reach agreements on international level;
Ø represent Austrian youth organisations on multi-national, European and international level;
Ø develop, coordinate and implement cross-national and international youth actions and
Ø to support our member organisations on international level.
